Inspired by the beautiful and exotic masks worn by Kathakali dancers from India, artist Sandeep Menon's illustration is infused with love for his culture. Initially Sandeep worked as a Product Designer in India designing watches and outdoor clocks where his design concept for a unique pair of watches won the 2004 Jindal Stainless Steel Award for Best Product Design. His passion for movies prompted Sandeep to move to the United States to attend Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California to focus on Concept Design, where during a summer he was honored to intern at Pixar Animation Studios working on the Academy Award nominated UP. Sandeep is currently working in the Art Department at Blue Sky Studios as a Designer on one of their upcoming animated feature films.
