Chris Sasaki

Medium: Linoleum block print

The subject of this linoleum block print, by illustrator Chris Sasaki, has long been a symbol of intelligence, protection and good luck. As a character designer and visual development artist Chris's career took off when he landed his first big gig at the Jim Henson Company working on some straight to DVD features. Since then Chris has freelanced at several animation studios as a character designer including The Walt Disney Company, Rhythm & Hues, PBS, Blue Sky Studios, and Laika. For Chris, 2010 is off to a full start, besides his move to California to work for the famous Pixar Animation Studios, he is also working on an illustrated circus ABC children's book which he is hoping to be done with by the end of the year.
