Sylvain Marc

This delightful, comic inspired illustration is by French artist Sylvain Marc. Born in 1982 near Paris, Sylvain received an illustration diploma at L'École Supérieure Estienne in Paris and studied animation at École des Gobelins. During his course, Sylvain co-directed Cocotte Minute, one of the opening short films of Annecy 2006 and Fertilizer Soup, a limited animation short commissioned by French television channel, Canal J. Both films were selected and awarded in festivals around the world, including Annecy, Ottawa and Siggraph. After getting his diploma, Sylvain was recruited by Framestore CFC in London to work as 3D character animator on commercials, music videos and the feature film The Tale of Despereaux. Sylvain then joined London based Cartoon Network Europe's development studio where he has worked on the development of several new TV shows concepts, from story to design and animation, and is is currently developing his own project for the channel. On the side, Sylvain works as a free lance illustrator and comic artist in the United Kingdom and France.
