This colorful postcard is by Hugo nominated and multi-award winning artist Shaun Tan, one of Australia's best known children's book illustrators. Shaun's illustrated books deal with social, political and historical subjects through surreal, dream-like imagery, and are described as ‘picture books for older readers’ rather than young children, as they deal with relatively complex visual styles and themes. Besides being an illustrator and author, Shaun is a concept artist for films such as Horton Hears a Who! and Wall-E, a designer/producer for theatre, and a muralist! His most recently published book is Tales from Outer Suburbia. Shaun's work has been adapted and interpreted in both film and music and currently he is directing a short film with Passion Pictures Australia.
